Tumble Leaf Barnacle DIY

Rumble Leaf Tumble Leaf it's a Barnacle Show How!

Does your little one LOVE Tumble Leaf as much as mine? Making it their birthday party/playdate theme?
Then you may also be wondering how to make those cute little Barnacles Fig scares as he slides down to his finding place.
Pinterest is not your buddy at the moment because there is only 1 season with the 2nd in the making of an Amazon Original. So not many people have ventured into making it all by hand yet!

Now, You've probably just figured pom-poms are good enough, and they are, but I have this little itch inside me to make it as close as I can to the real deal.
Regular felting with water just seemed it would make these cute little fluff balls to dense. So Ifound needle felting.
*** I have never once played with Roving Wool or needle felting ever in my life! This was a whim and a "really hope this works on the first try" effort***
(it did if you are wondering)

SO EASY!
Just pop in a show and go to town! I made about 15 in 2 episodes of Medium.

MATRIALS:
Roving Wool, multiple colors  (Found at Hobby Lobby in the embroidery area)
A Felting Needle

Pull off a couple of pieces, depending on how big you want  your ball.

Layer them together. You can get creative on the pattern

Bring edges inward, into a ball and flip over to start "stabbing" with the needle
The video is a quick demonstration of the ease of this project
(no need to turn on your volume)
If my video wont load, just Google it, you wont need all the fancy stuff, you are just essentially stabbing it all over to bring it together.

Stab it enough to just bring it together, or if its too fluffy all around, just stab it down until you are satisfied.

The Barnacles have a tuft of hair on top, so this next set is of adding that.

Grab another fun color and pull off a little piece and fluff it out.
Fold it in half to let the ends be on top.

Start stabbing in bottom corner, all around and in the middle until you feel it is attached well enough.

 And your Barnacle is DONE.
You could glue black small seed beads for eyes, but for my project this is enough

You can't have The Finding Place and Barnacles without Stick!

(he took a bit of hot glue because my girl was a little too rough, but he took the same amount of effort to make as the barnacles, just several different sizes of balls)
