That is it!
It is as fast and easy as your infant will let it be! For their part all they have to do is get 1 foot painted at a time and pressed down. The other squares are simple and fast!
Here is what you will need:
- 4 canvas square panels. (these are 4x4)
- acrylic paint
- paint brush
- heart cutout
- cute baby feet
Step 1: Get everything together and your canvas panels (or you could use basic cardstock and frame it, what ever you have on hand will work, I just happen to have tons of these little guys laying around) ready. Oh a wet washcloth or baby wipes to wipe off each foot as you go.
Step 2: Make sure your baby's is half naked here, I already have a few of her pants with "added color" because I didn't want her to get cold. She'll be fine, like I said, 5 minutes. Now paint one foot and then stand her up onto the panel (having an extra set of hands here really help) to make 1 side of the V. Press any little toes down that she has up.You get the picture, I'm sure you've done this before.
Step 3: Wipe off the paint on the baby's foot and repeat step 2 again with the opposite foot, and wipe off again.
Your child's part is now through and they can go back to chewing on their turtle.
Step 4: Take your heart cutout and center it on another square and paint over it, being sure to go easy on the edges of the heart to not have paint leek under it. I chose to paint in a star burst pattern because I like the look of the heart bursting out with love (ugh I just made my self gag with that line!)
Step 5: With the last 2 squares write and "L" and an "E" in whatever fashion you would like. Let dry.
Really the possibilities are as endless as your penmanship or stencils if you have chicken scratch. Same with the color/s of paint. Its your home, and hopeful long lasting piece of art. Though my place has no red, I always wanted to be reminded of Selene's first Valentine's Day.
Now you may be wondering how to display your new piece of cheap art, right?
Meet your new friend
Command Strips
They will save you the pain of lining up hooks to nails
and
Your walls will like you more.
These are the poster strips.
The panels don't weigh much so one on the top center does the trick
Next pick a spot and hang them up!
Just follow the directions on the strips and eyeball the placement.
Happy Crafting!
